2011

FEB - The Department of Environment and Natural Resources granted Alphaland its Environmental Compliance Certificate for Balesin Island Club.

Delivery and commencement of the laying down of Geo-cells, which will serve as a mechanical soil stabilizer of in-site materials. This will serve as a mechanical soil stabilizer of in-site materials. This will serve as foundation for the runway pavement. Installed and backfilled Geo-cells for about twenty (25%) of the western half of the runway.

MAR - The Securities and Exchange Commission approved the registration of securities to be offered by Alphaland Balesin Island Club Inc. (ABICI) consisting of 391 primary preferred shares and 3,519 secondary shares at a maximum price of P2 million a share.

Delivered the concrete batching plant during the 1st week of March. On the 2nd week, a 20,000 gallon per day desalination plant, as an alternative water source, is to be delivered. Cement delivery will also commence by the 2nd week of March. Start of concreting for the western half of the runway and is expected to commence on the 3rd week.

Start of deliveries of construction materials for the building structures - clubhouse, spa and villages.

APR - Completion of the design development for the Clubhouse, Spa, Sports Center, Equestrian Center, Balesin Village and Mykonos Village. 

Alphaland’s Cessna Grand Caravan was delivered to provide air ferry service for Balesin Island.

Completion of the "Sala" for the Balesin Village which will serve as the temporary lounge for guests making/conducting day trip to the island. 

MAY - Western half of the runway is expected to be operational to the Cessna Grand Caravan, helicopters, and other light aircraft

JUN - Start of construction of Welcome Center

Start of construction of Sala for Balesin Village.

AUG - Start of construction of Clubhouse.

Completion of Welcome Center and Sala for Balesin Village.

SEP - Start of construction of Balesin Village.

OCT - Start of Construction of Spa and Equestrian Center.

Upgrading of two reverse osmosis plants from 20,000 gallons per day (gpd) to 40,000 gpd was accomplished in Balesin Island.

The hangar on Balesin Island was completed.

NOV - Start of construction of "Sala" for Mykonos, Bali, and Phuket Village

Start of construction of Mykonos Village.

DEC - Start of construction of Sports Center and Aquatic Sports Center.

Start of construction of Costa Smeralda Trattoria and St. Tropez Cafe.

Completion of Balesin Village, Spa, and Equestrian Center.

Structural work of the 1-BR model unit for Mykonos Village has been completed.

Construction for the Taverna of Mykonos Village was started.

2010

APR - Alphaland Corporation signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Balesin Corporation for the acquisition of its property located on the Balesin Island, Polillo, Quezon. Alphaland intends to develop a resort community to be known as Alphaland Balesin Island Resort.

MAY - Incorporation of Alphaland Balesin Island Resort Corporation (ABIRC) as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alphaland Corporation.

JUL - EcoPlan of Florida, one of the world's top Eco Master Planners, completes the Master Plan for Alphaland Balesin Island Club.

AUG - Balesin Island is declared a Tourism Zone.

SEP - Purchased Landing Craft Transport (“LCT Balesin”) as logistical support for transport of equipment, construction materials and other requirements.

OCT - Completed the Jetty in Balesin to accept deliveries on board “LCT Balesin”.

NOV - Delivered 18 units of construction heavy equipment to the island to start airstrip grading and paving.

DEC - Engaged the services of Arch. Conrad T. Onglao for the design of the Main Clubhouse, Spa facilities, Balesin, Phuket, and Bali Villages.

Engaged services as well of Architect Jorge Yulo for the design of Mykonos and Costa Smeralda Villages.
